This past Friday, Nov 30, Ron Paul's grassroots supporters dropped a planned "mini-money bomb" of $500,000 to the Paul campaign within 24 hours- organized by: http://www.rudysreadinglist.com
A site created to commemorate an argument of where Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani spat it out during the second Republican presidential debate on Fox News over foreign policy, where afterwards Ron Paul held a press conference supported by a former head of the CIA's Bin Laden unit to "educate Rudy". They offered a reading list on foreign policy and defined the term "blow back", a term former mayor Rudy Giuliani took during the debate as blaming America for 9/11.
This was the third "unofficial money bomb" organized by Paul's grassroots support without the aid of his campaign, the first organized at: http://www.thisnovember5th.com - commemorated Guy Fawkes Day, a day England celebrates as a failed attempt to blow up parliament. But the believed buzz that generally got the idea across to supporters were other associations to the movie "V for Vendetta", involving protests for liberty during a desperate time of need. They broke the fund-raising record for Republicans with $4.3million within 24 hours, as well as most money raised ever by a candidate for president online at about the $3 mill. mark.
WILL RON PAUL SUPPORTERS SHOCK THE USA ON THEIR NEXT "MONEY BOMB" ON DECEMBER 16?
That is the real question posed, because they have already begun serious planning for this at least a month in advance. This December 16, the same grassroots support that succeeded in their previous "money bombs", or "mini-money bombs" will attempt to break the all time record in fund-raising within 24 hours for a presidential candidate. This time the self-proclaimed "Ron Paul rEVOLution", are commemorating the Boston Tea Party- the day Americans protested English taxation by throwing British tea from their ships into the water as a form of protest.
Projected numbers indicate they are going for $10 MILLION. With 2 more weeks and already 20,000 pledges for $100 on this day have them thinking they're going to make it. There wasn't as much planning for their Nov 5 date, as with this Tea Party, that even has a Boston rally setup that could draw thousands of people- literally. Many in the mainstream media continue to laugh and scoff Paul's public appearance notions- without realizing he has been drawing numbers in the thousands. After the Republican debate in Michigan 2,000 people showed at a Paul rally to listen to his speech. In Philadelphia as recent as last month 5-6,000 people made it to the Independence Mall to hear Paul's speech. So do you think Ron Paul's supporters will hit their $10 Million mark on December 16th? If they do, they're going to push Paul $8 million over his desired amount to have raised by Jan 1, 2008. Paul already has raised over $10 million of his desired $12 million for the quarter, and his numbers can be viewed live at his campaign site:
